Today we received our new project assignment--we are using a powerpoint with animations or video to show the two parts of protein synthesis. You may work with another partner of your choosing or alone.
Your project is DUE 2/1 (A day) 2/2 (B day)
If you lose the rubric, I will deduct 5 points off your project grade--so print a new one off my teacherweb handouts tab.

i was wondering how you do the animations for the protein synthesis project
ReplyDeleteI think the easiest thing to do is look for pictures online or build them in Word or MS paint. Then use the animations tab of Powerpoint (custom animation) to make paths and order each picture entering to show transcription and translation.
ReplyDeleteWhich vocab words do we need to use?
ReplyDeletewhat is the recipe for playdough??
ReplyDeleteThis is Kaleigh and Courtney, since we are doing the photostory do you want us to bring our 3D models to class for presentation.
ReplyDeleteHannah--the vocab words are on the bottom of the Protein synthesis unit map (the back sides where the big rectangular blanks are).
ReplyDeleteAnon--try google
Courtney--photostory sounds great, and you do not need to bring the models, just use them in your animations.
Do you have tutorials on friday before school?? Im so confused with this project
ReplyDeleteokay thanks. so we just need to put captions on our pictures on photostory describing whats going on??
ReplyDeleteHannah F.--Yes, I do have tutorials on Fridays.
ReplyDeleteCourtney--yes, but make sure you explain all the terms required on the assignment sheet and use at least 10 vocab words (don't worry, DNA was one of our vocab words, so that will be easy).
Can we use the idea of the two acts of protein synthesis?
ReplyDeleteSure, just make sure to use your own words!
ReplyDelete...Well after several minutes of searching foud nthe animation thing in ppt. Do i just use pics off of the internet? I don't know how to make and paste from Paint and i can't find out how to make the stuff (like in the other presentations) like DNA strands or anything...
ReplyDeleteYou can use pic from the internet to animate, but I really recommend making your own stuff in powerpoint. Go to Insert>Shapes (or insert>image>shapes) and you can draw circles and squares and a bunch of other things.
